Do you believe that some relationships are meant to be?
I spent the weekend with my friends in Virginia for a girls weekend and vineyard tour (https://www.rappahannockcellars.com/ and https://glenmanorvineyards.com/ if you were wondering).
So during one of our conversation, I asked the girls to tell me more about their personal stories and how they met their significant others. Each story was heart warming and really sweet.
But one of the story made me think think that some relationships are simply meant to be.
Listening to K’s story I was wondering what were the odds that her mom befriended A. when she went in a city (not her own city) for a continuous education session.
So A. was having a party and friends were coming. So A. invited K’s mom and told her that her family was also invited. That’s how K was invited to a party where she know nobody.
Among those friends there was H & J and J’s brother (D).
D & K met at this party, talked a little, flirt a little, talked a lot to know each other more, kissed and exchange phone numbers.
It was one evening, one party where K was randomly invited almost 20 years ago.
A single decision can change everything. What if K. decided that there was no point attending a party where she will knew nobody? Fortunately for her and for them – that is not what happened.
A wedding, a house, two kids and 5 pets later D & K are still together and happy as a clam. It was meant to be.
