This trompe l’oeil title might make you think that I like Jim Morrisson and his band The Doors. Well yes, that’s right, I discovered this band when I was in high school in the second year. It was at this time that Olivier Stone released the biopic of the band with Val Kilmer and Meg Ryan in the poster (1991) hair in the wind and bell-bottoms required. This gave me the opportunity to discover this band and its charismatic singer. So yes, this post could be my declaration of affection for this group, but I especially want to talk to you about my fascination for doors (well, not all doors, eh! Generally, the ones in the conveniences of restaurants leave me cold (and not bronze, hehehehe). I have no architectural knowledge and I would be hard pressed to determine the era in which such and such a door was made, or even if it represents or symbolizes something (social status, event, beliefs……) but what I can tell you is that I often stop dead in front of an entrance door to admire it, even if it’s only for a few seconds and wonder what’s behind it. I find doors and the mysteries they contain fascinating…………don’t you?
