My favorite french teas to enjoy and share

Tea has always been more than a drink to me. It’s a ritual, a pause, a way to care for myself or for someone I love. I don’t claim to master the art of tea or know every blend that exists, but I do know the teas that have stayed with me — the ones I reach for instinctively, the ones I love to gift, and the ones that feel like tiny journeys in a cup.

If you’re looking for a new tea to try — especially green teas from iconic French tea houses — this curated list may inspire your next delicious discovery.

Palais des Thés

Elegant, floral, and perfect for quiet mornings.

Thé des Moines– A serene and balanced blend wrapped in mystery. Its composition remains secret, adding to its charm.

Fleur de Geisha – A delicate green tea inspired by cherry blossom. Light, floral, and ideal for early mornings. It has been my favorite morning tea for I think over 2 decades now. I am drinking different teas of course, but Fleur De Geisha is one of my all times favorite.

Thé des Amants A cozy blend of Chinese green tea, apple, almond, cinnamon, and a hint of ginger. Warm and comforting.

Chai Impérial A rich and aromatic chai that fills the kitchen with spice even before the first sip.

Thé du Hammam A fruity and floral blend with rose, green date, red fruits, and orange blossom. Soft, fragrant, and exotic.

Jardin des Songes An infusion of ten fruits and plants — apple, lemon, lemon balm, chamomile, linden, verbena, lemongrass, nettle, lavender, rose petals, and cornflower. A soothing garden in a cup.

Mariage Frères

Refined, Parisian, and timeless.

Marco Polo vert A secret composition with unmistakably floral and delicate notes. A quiet classic.

Thé des Impressionistes A poetic blend of soft spices, white flowers, and mauve petals. Jasmine, lavender, and vanilla create a beautifully perfumed cup.

Bel Ami Fresh floral notes (rose, carthame) with a touch of vanilla. Gentle, refined, and joyful.

Black Orchid A velvety black tea with delicately spiced vanilla notes. Smooth, dark, and mysterious.

Dammann Frères

Fruity, aromatic, and full of character.

Paul & Virginie Chinese Sencha with red fruits, vanilla, caramel, plus pieces of strawberry and redcurrant. Sweet, nostalgic, and comforting.

Nuit à Versailles Sencha with bergamot, kiwi, yellow peach, orange blossom, violet, and flower petals. Elegant and unmistakably French.

Bali Sencha and jasmine green tea with lychee, grapefruit, vineyard peach, rose essential oil, and petals. Fresh, tropical, and luminous.

Ladurée

Indulgent, pastry-like, and full of charm.

Roi Soleil A lively green tea with bergamot, rhubarb, and caramel. Bright, indulgent, and reminiscent of a dessert in a cup.

Writing this makes me crave a pastry to accompany all these flavors. You too?
